- In your view, what make’s iNova’s approach to innovation unique?
At iNova we have a unique and agile business model that enables us to work quickly, make timely decisions and innovate at pace.
We intentionally take a partnering approach to innovation. Our team seeks out and collaborates with leading R&D labs and manufacturing plants around the world. For example, this may include in-licencing, acquisition, sourcing off-shelf formulations (for speed to market), or bespoke product development (for uniqueness).
This approach gives us the flexibility to source our NPD from anywhere to best suit our local market and regulatory needs. As a result, we have a full and rich pipeline, well above industry benchmarks, which is the result of hard work and exceptional collaboration from all teams across iNova.
I know our team feel incredibly proud to be part of an organisation who actively looks for new ways to meet the unmet health needs of consumers and healthcare professionals across our categories through continuous innovation.
- Why is science so important in underpinning the trust in iNova’s brands?
Our purpose is simple – to deliver trusted brands that improve the health and wellbeing of people every day.
At iNova we have great brands backed by great science! Whether it’s the Benzydamine in Difflam sore throat products, or the Povodine-iodine (PVPI) in Betadine, which is the gold standard and most efficacious germ kill product for disinfecting wounds, our products deliver on their promise because of the science behind them.
It’s incredibly satisfying knowing our products make consumers better in material ways, because our products work!
- When browsing iNova’s medicine cabinet of iconic brands – what is your favourite go-to product and why?
My two go-to essentials when travelling that I NEVER leave home without – Demazin Nasal Spray and Difflam Throat Spray. They both get the job done FAST!

- Why is science so important in underpinning the trust in iNova’s brands?
iNova’s products are grounded in robust scientific evidence. Science is the foundation of how we communicate the value and efficacy of our products to both consumers and healthcare professionals.
This scientific rigor not only gives our brands credibility, but also reinforces some of our core values – keeping customers front of mind, doing our best, and acting ethically.
By consistently applying this approach, we build trust with both consumers and healthcare professionals, ensuring they feel confident in the products we offer.
- What is something you are currently excited about in your role?
Exploring how we can leverage AI to remove administrative work will give us bigger opportunities to focus on more strategic activities which is very exciting.
Developing this from a regulatory and medical perspective is something I look forward to in the future. I’m also looking forward to the innovation coming in some of our key brand portfolios such as Betadine, Demazin and DURO-TUSS. It’s exciting to be a part of the scientific development and evolution of these brands.
- When browsing iNova’s medicine cabinet of iconic brands – what is your favourite go-to product and why?
I have many favorites! But one would be Betadine throat gargle. It’s my go-to when I get that tickle in my throat and it really helps stop it in its tracks. It’s a great product backed by years of strong science and is a must have in everyone’s medicine cabin

- Why is science so important in underpinning the trust in iNova’s brands?
Trust from our consumers, customers and healthcare professionals has always been core to the longevity and strength of our brands.
We have a long history of providing healthcare solutions that deliver real relief in an effective and safe way to consumers. This trust starts with having products that do what they say they’re going to do and to achieve this, we are always looking to leverage the best technology and ingredients in everything we bring to market.
- What is something you are currently excited about in your role?
I’m extremely excited about turbo-charging the Innovation pipeline for our newest brand, Betadine. It is a brand with exceptional heritage and trust but hasn’t had a lot of new news for some time. This is an amazing opportunity to reinvigorate the sleepy wound care category with some exciting new growth platforms.
- When browsing iNova’s medicine cabinet of iconic brands – what is your favourite go-to product and why?
This is a tough one! I would say that our Difflam Forte Throat spray is my favourite. It is so convenient, especially when travelling and is the only thing that really works when I get hit with a sore throat. I love the nozzle that reaches the back of the throat and the nice minty flavour too.
