iNova is targeting companies and product acquisitions and partnerships with defined characteristics:
- Recommended by healthcare professionals (e.g. doctors, pharmacists, etc)
- In Asia, established branded generics with strong brand equity, good market position and/or unique technology (no unbranded generics)
- OTC products with strong brand equity
- Priority markets are South and Southeast Asia, Australia, and South Africa
- Present in attractive market segments, i.e. low competition from big pharma, low exposure to government price
- controls, e.g. niche specialty segments: weight loss, dermatology, ophthamology, podiatry, dentistry, etc.
Focus targets in mid-tier, mass market
- Undermanaged company assets that require investment to restore growth
- Top talent, management skills, sales force, and good national coverage
- Low capital commitment (e.g. factories)
- Do not require investment in R&D
- Synergistic value that can be realised quickly.
